presidentEngr. Kashim Abdul Ali was born on 10th June, 1958 in Ofugo – Ankpa, Kogi State. He is a Registered Engineer, Fellow and Past President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and Member of the National Institute. He was a member of Nigeria Vision 20:2020 Steering and Implementation Committees, and Chair of the sub-Committee on Physical Infrastructure. He was also co-Chair of the Infrastructure Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, and member Policy Support Group to the Economic Management Team (2008 – 2010). His working career started in the old Benue State Ministry of Works in 1982, before he joined the Federal Capital Development Authority in 1992, rising to the position of Director/Chief Executive Officer of the FCT Water Board, Special Adviser (Utilities), Director (Technical Services) of the Abuja Infrastructure Investment Centre, and lately, Director, Transportation, FCTA. He holds the traditional titles of Olimene Ata Igala, and Galadiman Ankpa. He is married with four children, and loves reading, writing, travelling and social works.

 Engr. Professor. Emmanuel Ajav hails from Guma Local Government Area of Benue state.

He attended the University of Ibadan for his first and second degrees in Agricultural Engineering. He then Proceeded for his PhD at G.B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, India in 1995-1997.

Prof. Ajav started his working career as a lecturer II from University of Ibadan and rose through the ranks to a Professor.

He is a member of several Professional bodies, among them are;

Prof. Ajav has held several Positions locally and internationally. He is currently the Chairman Committee of Deans of Engineering in Nigerian Universities. He is happily married with Children.


Engr Otis

 Engr. Otis Oliver T. Anyaeji, FNSE, FAEng is the current and 30th President of the Society, Fellow of the Society and a winner of many distinguished awards for service to the Society.

He was Vice-President several times and Deputy President and member of Council.

 Engr. Anyaeji is a member of several learned professional societies associated with advancement of engineering. They include, the Nigerian Society of Engineers NSE), the Automotive Engineers Institute (Auto EI), the Institute of Appraisers and Cost Engineers (IA&CE), the Solar Energy Society of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, etc.

Engr. Anyaeji served three terms as Secretary General of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (1989, 1990, 1991), three terms as Vice President (2011, 2012 & 2013), and was the immediate past Deputy President of NSE (2014-2015). To the glory of God, he stands today as the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

He is the Vice President (Anglophone), West African Federation of Engineering Organisations.

A member of the Governing Council of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Engr. Anyaeji was the pioneer Chairman of COREN’s Regulation and Control Committee (1990-1992).






AjiboluBolu James Ajibolu, Tech FNISET was born in Lampese, Akoko–Edo, Edo State.
He had his Primary Education in Saint Peter’s LSMB School, Ogori in Ogori/Mangongo,Kogi State.
He attended Government Technical College, Patigi in Kwara State between 1978–1983 where he obtained grades in 3 and 2 of the Federal Trade Test (FTT), Federal Craft Certificate (FCC) and part I & II of the WAEC Technical Certificate in Fabrication Engineering Craft Practice. He was the Deputy Head boy in his final year.
He joined the Pioneer Integrated Paper Industry in West Africa Sub–region (NPM Ltd, Jebba) Kwara State as Craftsman/Technician in the core Mechanical Maintainance Department between 1984–2001. He served in various management committees as shop floor / National Vice-President of the National Union of Printing Paper and Papers Products Workers (NUPPPPROW).
Between 1999 – 2001, he attended Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for Advanced Certificate in Motor Vechicle Repairs. Between 2003–2005; he developed himself further at the Polytechnic, Ibadan, for Higher Technician Diploma (HTD) in Mechanical Engineering, HND (in view) The Ploytechnic, Ibadan.
He registered with NISET as a corporate member in 2005 and served as the first, Administrative Officer of NISET. He became a fellow of NISET in 2007, was elected as the 3rd National Secretary of NISET in 2009.
He emerged as the 3rd National President of NISET on 25th May, 2012; He now represents NISET as a Council member with COREN.

IkechukwuArima Victor Ikechukwu, born on 22 Sept 1950. Education: Primary and Vocational/Technical School, Study Electrical Installation Works.

Working Experience: Employed in Aviation Industry under FAAN, for 26yrs. Retired in 2006.
Join The Nigerian Association of Engineering Craftmen as Kano State Chairman from 2003 to 2010, now (FNAEC) also COREN Registered.
Presently the National Chairman of NAEC.

Married with three Children.


ShehuMustafa Balarabe Shehu was born on 12th April to a Veterinary Officer Alhaji Shehu Salihu and Hajiya Rakiya, both of blessed memory.

He attended  the prestigious Government College Kaduna under the Kano State Government scholarship. He then gained admission at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. He did the mandatory NYSC programme at Enugu.
Engr. Shehu was employed as Pupil Electrical Engineer with the Lagos Thermal Station Egbin, a 6x220MW gas turbine generating station for the National Electric Power Authority.
He was later appointed a Senior Electrical Engineer by the Kano State Rural Electricity Board. He was in charge of the Construction Department and rose to the post of Assistant Director.
He later resigned his services to form MBS Engineering Ltd where he is the Chairman/CEO in the company.
Engr. Shehu has been serving the Nigerian Society of Engineers for a period spanning about two decades in different capacities before becoming the President of the Society. He is the immediate past President of NSE.
He is well travelled and a recipient of several award locally and internationally.
Engr. M.B. Shehu is married with Children.

Engr. A.A. Rabiu is the Executive Partner of AR – AR Partnership, an indigenous consulting outfit with a professional practice embracing a full range of activities in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and Project Management.

Born on April 24th, 1963, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Engr. Rabiu studied Civil Engineering at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida and Bayero University, Kano.

He has over the years acquired extensive experience in various aspects of Civil Engineering works particularly construction supervision and procurement services.

He has served the Nigeria society of Engineers in various capacities which includes 3-times Vice President and many more.

Engr. A.A. Rabiu, a well-traveled Personality has several awards locally and internationally and is married with Children.

Engr. (Chief) Uche Joseph Ukpabi FNSE, mni, is a Member of the COREN Council, representing South-East. He hails from  Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. He is married with Children.

-Engr. Ukpabi joined the Eastern Nigeria Government Ministry of works as a graduate Mechanical Engineer in 1966 and rose to the rank of a Director in 1981.

-Between 1980 and 1981, he was the General Manager/ Chief Executive of Government owned Company Metallurgical Complex Nigeria Limited.

-He also served as the Chairman, Oru Local Government as a Government nominee in 1989; Chairman Imo Transport Company; Chairman, State Emergency Relief Committee, Imo State between 1989 and 1991.

-In Abia State, he was appointed Director General in 1994. He served in that capacity from Ministry of Works to Ministries of Commerce and Industry; Information and Culture; and Finance, from where he was nominated for the Senior Executive Course of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS); Kuru.

-He graduated from the Institute with mni in November, 1996. Thereafter, he served as Director-General in the Ministries of Finance; Education and Youth Development.

-He also served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Local Government/Chieftaincy Affairs, and Public Utilities before his statutory retirement after meritorious service by 26th July, 1999.

OgbeideEngr.(Dr) Frederick Nosakhare Ogbeide, currently an Assistant Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has an interface between academics and practical Civil Engineering.

He attended the Immaculate Conception College Benin city from 1974 to 1979. He later proceeded to the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc) in Civil Engineering in 1984 as well as University of Lagos for his Master of Science Degree (M.Sc) in Highway Engineering in 1987. In May 2013, he was decorated with an Honorary D.Sc Degree in “Engineering & Project Management” by the European American University of the Commonwealth of Dominica Republic.

On completing his NYSC at the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering in Makurdi in 1985, he started his academic career as a Graduate Assistant in 1985 at the University of Maiduguri. From there he proceeded to the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 1990. He later joined the services of the University of Benin as a Senior Lecturer in 2000 and was later appointed the Head of Department of Civil Engineering for two academic sessions (2004-2006).

Engr (Dr) F.N.Ogbeide is a COREN Registered Engineer, He joined the NDDC in August 2006. The projects supervised and monitored includes water supply schemes, roads and bridges, rural electrification (Conventional & Solar Powered), jetties, shore protection, land reclamation, hospitals, multi-storied University Hostel Buildings and Erosion Control projects among others.

A very hard working professional, Engr. Ogbeide has served as Civil Engineering Consultant to many Private and Public Firms. He has also served in several relevant Bodies in the Engineering professional Societies. Some of his recently held positions are

1. Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), Benin Chapter (2009 – 2013).

 Engr. Prof. Remy Uche, FNSE, JP, KSJI was born a Catholic at his home town - Umuezeala Ogwara in Ehime-Mbano Local Government Area  of Imo State on the 7th February, 1964. Remy completed the primary education at his village school in 1976 and secured admission for  secondary education at Madonna High School, Ihitte. In 1981 he completed the secondary education and worked briefly at the Imo State  University as a Laboratory Assistance before gaining admission into the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. Remy obtained a B.Eng  degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering in 1988. He enrolled at different times and obtained the higher degrees of M.Eng and  Ph.D in Industrial and Production Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 1994 and 2005 respectively.

 Remy joined the services of the Federal University of Technology as a Teaching Assistant in 1992 and has steadily progressed through  every grade in the career path to its peak as a professor of Industrial and Production Engineering in 2013.

He held some key positions at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, which among others include - Member of University Governing Council, Member of Senate, Dean of Student Affairs, Head of Department, Chairman Examination Malpractice Committee, Director Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office. 

He has been very active in the activities of professional associations. Remy has served in the Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers in his capacity as the Chairman of Owerri Branch and also has served the Owerri branch in many other capacities. He is a COREN registered engineer and has served as a resource person in COREN accreditation exercise. He belonged to the following professional bodies:

- Institute of Industrial Engineers

- Society of Manufacturing Engineers

- Association of Manufacturing Excellenc

- The Metal and Materials Society

- American Society of Mechanical Engineers

- Nigerian Institute of Management 

Remy has attended lots of conferences both local and international. He has as well published a number of research works in both local and foreign based journals.

Engr. Prof. Remy Uche is a fourth degree Knight of the Ancient and Noble Order of the Knights of St. John International . He is both a Justice of Peace and Jerusalem Pilgrim. Remy is a member of Rotary International and a Paul Harris Fellow. 

Remy is married to Lady Chidinma Uche and the marriage is blessed with four children.



Engr. Danladi Musa D.Ningi was born in Ningi, Ningi L.G.A of Bauchi State on 22 August 1964. He attended Ningi East Primary School from 1971 to 1977, Government Secondary School Darazo from 1977 to 1982. He later proceeded to the School of Basic Studies Zaria for his IJMB from 1983 to 1984. In 1985 he was admitted into the Faculty of Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria to study Mechanical Engineering and graduated in 1989. After graduation, he was posted to the Savannah Sugar Company in the defunct Gongola State for his NYSC. In 1990, he joined the services of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi and rose to the rank of a Chief Lecturer. He held several positions including the Head of Mechanical Engineering Technology Department between 2005 and 2011. He held an M.Eng degree in Production Engineering from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is a very active member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Bauchi Branch and held several positions at NSE Bauchi Branch, including Assistant Secretary-General, Secretary-General and Vice-Chairman. He was Chairman of Bauchi Branch of NSE between 2010 and 2011, member of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Bauchi Chapter and a COREN registered engineer. He is a Mechanical Engineering Consultant to a number of Institutions and Consultancy firms. He is currently undergoing a PhD research work in the area of tools, jigs and fixtures.    







regEngr. Maliki Wopa Kamila is the Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.

Until this present appointment, he was the Director, Water Resources Engineering Service, Ministry of Water Resources, Kwara State and in charge of the Kwara State Water Turn-Around Programme.

He has over the years acquired experience in various aspects of engineering project supervision, construction and procurement services, in the civil service of the Kwara State. He served as a member of several project team in the State, such as KWHA Complex, Kwara State Library, Secretariat Phase II & III etc projects . He was directly in charge of Mechanical Engineering Service design and supervision of several capital projects in the State. In 2003, as a mark of recognition of his astute qualities as an engineer and administrator, Engr. Kamila was appointed the General Manager of the Kwara State Water Corporation

Engr. Kamila became a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in 1997 and, in the same year, registered as a Mechanical Engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has served the NSE as a member of the ILORIN branch Executive Committee in various capacities culminating to the position of Chairman in 2006. He was a member of the COREN ERM Committee in Ilorin Zone, where he also served as the COREN Supervising Engineer from 2002-2013.

Engr. Kamila attended the Government Secondary School, Malete between January 1973 and June 1977. He also studied at Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin and acquired the Higher National Diploma. With the zeal to further his education, he proceeded to the then Anambra State University of Science and Technology, Enugu where he bagged the Post Graduate Diploma and Master in Engineering in 1988 and 1990 respectively. Engr. Kamila took time off his busy schedule to study for a Master in Public Administration certificate of the University of Ilorin in 2003.

He was nominated to attend the Senior Executive Course 28 of the prestigious National institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru-Jos in 2006 and thus became a member of the national institute (mni). He was also conferred with the fellowship award of NSE in November 2010.

Engr. Kamila, a professional engineer and seasoned administrator is married with children.
